There are plenty of Wedding Ministers in the Triangle who will tell you that they will perform a secular ceremony for you, however, there are only a few Humanist Celebrants. Humanist Celebrants are endorsed through the American Humanist Society, which was started by Quakers in California and incorporated as a religious group with the IRS back in 1939. Therefore, Humanist Celebrants, are a non-believer's answer to clergy and will always deliver your wedding ceremony with beauty, nature, and a completely authentic and secular heart. Who I Am

I have spent my life as a writer, professor and clinical psychologist, with all the skills in public speaking, organization, problem solving and understanding human relationships such a career entails. But I have chosen to become a humanist celebrant because of several beliefs that I have long held:

Beautiful, warm and personalized services and ceremonies should be available to all, not just those with religious affiliations.

Love is love - it is unrelated to gender, laws, rules or conventions. I will officiate whatever service or ceremony is important to you. Additionally, I am an authorized American Humanist Celebrant and can legally perform marriages in all 50 states.

The most memorable services and ceremonies are those in which the participants feel known, and the audience is touched by what it hears. I will help you craft a truly unforgettable event.
